Direct Debit for monthly payments still not setup even after 1 month - Why?

I received email from Plusnet on 1st Jan 2017 stating my direct debit setup details are being sent to my bank.
Checked my bank account today (21st Feb 2017) and it still has not been setup.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Tried ringing Plusnet but 30+ minute call wait times which is unacceptable so hung up as don't have that kind of time to waste.

Odd that it's not showing set up with your bank as it's showing as active on our systems, we've also submitted a payment through it that should come out very soon. Can you let us know if there's any problems with the payment and we can do further digging.
