Delay broadband and line rental start date

I signed up yesterday for a new 12 month broadband contract with Plusnet, but my contract with my current provider does not end until 9 September. Is it possible to delay the start date?

I've had a look into your account this morning and I can see that our Provisioning Team are on this, with us currently awaiting the confirmation of the new orders. Once these have been confirmed you should receive another email. If you don't in the next couple of days, or if there are any issues with the process, please don't hesitate to drop another message onto this thread and we'll be more than happy to pick this case back up for review.
