Could I get an explanation of my bill please

My previous contract with plusnet ended in March. This meant the end of the 12 month introductory offer.
However when I received an email about the price increase there was another special offer if I joined a 18 month contract.
The new contract was 19 April and new lower price of 24.99
However today I got email notification that £37.98 will be taken from my account.
I looked at my plusnet account on line and it seems I’m still on the d contract
Yet I have email verification that I sign up for new contract
Any help I can get please to understand
