Contract renewal time and its gone t*ts up already

So my contract/ minimum term comes to an end this coming Monday (16th Aug) and as per usual ive done a little shopping around

Plusnet offered me £21.95/month inc line rental (for vdsl 40/10) in an email :

Thanks for reaching out. This is a pro rata bill, as it covers you from 10/08/2021 - 10/09/2021, whereas your contracted discounts will only apply to the 16th of this month. I can't really offer much assistance with the new contract I'm afraid, but feel free to give our Customer Options Team a call on 0800 013 2632 and I'm sure they'll be able to help with this.
