Contract or no?

In a ticket, (no 66602702) an agent has told me I must have a contract if I switch back to Plusnet. However, this page
http://www.plus.net/info2/legal/price_guide.html
Tells me there is a no contract option for 2.50 more - which is correct?
Thanks

The agent isn't - a bit of retraining needed  Sad

Re: Contract or no?

That's assuming you are seeking ADSL and not fibre (which is contract only).

Re: Contract or no?

Sadly no fibre on my cabinet. Rest of the town has it, just not about 3 postcodes on cabinet 8

Re: Contract or no?

Also after I'd asked a few questions over a period of 2 days or so, the agent said:
Quote
To be honest all the questions you have asked could have been answered on a 10 minute call to our sales team. They are available on............

To me, this came across as a bit snarky "Why are you repeatedly bothering us here - just phone up". Possibly not as intended, but that is how it was perceived.
To answer why:
1 - They couldn't be answered in a 10 minute call, because I've asked them as they've occurred  to me over a period of a couple of days - as I made perfectly obvious in the last question.
2 - I want a written record of what I have been told because these questions are an important part of my decision to join plusnet.
That comment did not make the decision more likely.

Re: Contract or no?

Perhaps that response was a little blunt, but I'd interpret it as a genuine attempt to be helpful. In my opinion a strong positive is that the response was provided by an agent not working from a script. Smiley
If you did ring the sales team they should be able to record their responses on a ticket if you ask them to.

Re: Contract or no?

Really sorry about that, I'll certainly feed that back to the agents manager.
If you have any questions, please feel free to fire them my way and I'd be more than happy to answer them for you.

Re: Contract or no?

I have updated the ticket with a further question (I've also noted my feelings about the comment). On reflection, perhaps I am being a little over-sensitive
Support so far, has been as usual, pretty good - so please feed that back also.
