Hi,
According to my account, my contract finishes on the 26th this Month, do i automatically go on to a monthly contract, or will i have to sign-up for another 12 Month contract?.
Thank in Advance.

Re: Contract finishing

You aren't really on a 12 month contract just that you would have received a number of freebies - router etc. - on sign up and they will need to be paid for if you leave before the year is up.
Your notice period is and will remain 10 days it is just that after the 26th June you won't be liable for those deferred costs

Re: Contract finishing

What does this say in relation to your account https://portal.plus.net/my.html?s=0&action=account_summary
If you didn't get a router did you move to Plusnet with a MAC code from another supplier or was it a new install
Either way there may be a deferred cost associated with that which drops out after 12 months.
The only other thing - did you take the 12 month upfront payment for phone rental

Re: Contract finishing

So you had a 12 month tie in for the broadband activation charge which runs out in July - deferred setup in your list
The cancellation charge is only if you cancel the broadband rather than move to another provider
Where did you get the 18 months from

Re: Contract finishing

Well the way I read that, your deferred contract commitments expire after 19th July. If you were to MAC out you avoid cessation. If you are staying, just carry on as has been said, it's 10 days notice.

Re: Contract finishing

Hi there,
All our ADSL accounts have a 10 day notice period as regards subscription, so there's no worries there. The only deferred fee we have for you is the setup fee (£25) which drops off the account after 12 months so that'll be removed from your account on the 18th July.
This only leaves the cease fee, which as has been mentioned only needs paying if the line is ceased - so if you migrate the service away on or after the 18th you'll only have to pay the 10 days' notice period.
Hope that clears things up for you, though of course we'd rather keep your custom if at all possible Smiley Please let us know if there's anything we could do to persuade you to do so.
