Isn't that how telephone transfers already work?
I hope that doesn't get messed up as I may be transferring my landline soon (back to Plusnet, depending on what they can offer me).

BT to BT transfers consist of the phone and the broadband being done separately. A MAC key is needed to take the broadband element, which takes about a week. Following this, the phone takes about two weeks.
The new process removes the MAC, and lets you move the two assets simultaneously a bit like LLU to BT provisions.
@w23 - Let me know if you transfer your phone over and I'll deal with the provision.
