Cancelling Broadband Contract From Overseas

Hi, I'm currently overtand need to cancel my broadband contract. Only option seems to be by phone which isn't really an option for me.
Any other ways this can be sorted? I've sent a message on X to see if that helps.
Thanks

Try a letter to:

Plusnet PLC

The Balance

2 Pinfold Street

Sheffield

S1 2GU

Make sure it is recorded delivery, or whatever your locations equivalent is.

Re: Cancelling Broadband Contract From Overseas

Thanks. Post really isn't an option as this needs to be sorted as soon as possible before they take over my parents broadband provider in a few weeks.

They tried to be helpful when I attempted to cancel a few months ago but have just made the situation worse.

@BlackGrouse I don't quite understand your post above. Before who take over your parents BB provider, and who tried to be helpful a few months ago?

Re: Cancelling Broadband Contract From Overseas

Plusnet.
I moved out of my house mid-contract and wanted to cancel. The advisor said he could save me cancellation charges by putting my house move on hold for 3 months and set up my new address asy parents.
I was advised to contact them in 3 months to extend again if I wasn't back in the UK. The 3 months is up which means they'll start transferring my account to my parents soon.

Ah - I think I understand, but I also think you were wrongly advised - AIUI, you can only have one 3 month 'grace period' in these circumstances.

@willcutforth  - can you confirm my thoughts, and do you have any suggestions?

Re: Cancelling Broadband Contract From Overseas

So we used to have a 6 month grace period, way back when but that isn't a thing any more but we have had instances where agents are popping house moves on hold when they shouldn't. Either way the only options to get this cancelled is through phone or letter I am afraid @BlackGrouse
