How long after I cancel does the service stop? Will it be instant or until the next payment would be due? (I'm mid contract and having to pay a large cancellation fee)
Also how long after cancelling is the cancellation fee charged?

Assuming that you are cancelling rather than migrating then you would advise Plusnet of the date on which you require it to be cancelled when you advise them that you are cancelling

Sorry to hear you're wanting to cancel your account.
The easiest way would be to give our Customer Options Team a call on 0800 013 2632 to schedule the cancellation on a certain date and discuss final fees with them

If you are moving to another ISP supply a service over BT OpenReach wires DO NOT CANCEL! Let your new ISP handle the migration and your Plusnet account will be closed when the migration completes. If you cancel your new ISP will not be able to order your new service until the cancellation completes which will guarantee you a period with no service (and it will cost you more).
