Can I delay my start date?

Hello,

 

Yesterday (23/02/21) evening I ordered fibre internet for my new home which I will be moving into around 10/03/21. I chose to order the internet yesterday based on the estimated time line given when ordering of 2-4 days for phone line then another 5-7 for internet.

 

However, my phone line activated this morning, within 1 working hour from my order.
I don't actually want the internet yet so is it possible to delay the start of this?

@estamanana As you've discovered, if there's an existing stopped line at the premises , it can generally be activated within 24 hrs.

Although the broadband activation is quoted at 5-7 days, it's very likely to take longer than that in the current circumstances. So I wouldn't attempt to delay it if I were you, it probably  won't be much before the 10th anyway. In addition, I'm assuming that as a new customer, you are getting a discounted deal. In this case , its the broadband component that's discounted , so you won't save much by delaying, as you will still be paying full line rental from today.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
