Thanks for getting back to us.

I can see @Gandalf left a ticket with our billing team, I will chase this up for you tomorrow when they are back in the office. I am sorry for the length of time this is taking to be resolved, and thank you for your patience and understanding.

You know, I bet you and the Billing team have bigger fish to fry.

For the sake of three quid, why don't you just write it off and I'll donate the cash to my favourite charity (Registered Charity No. 1139407)?

Unfortunately that’d be an issue too. As the invoice isn’t outstanding yet, we can’t write it off either. We’ll sort this out as soon as we can.
From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

OK thanks. I'm uncomfortable that we're back in the situation where I don't owe anything, yet I do according to the magnificent billing system ("all hail the magnificent billing system.")

But frankly, I've lost patience with the whole episode. I dare say you have too!
