I'm also fully aware of recording telephone conversations because i record them, and since i had no home phone or broadband in July so how on earth could i read emails dated pre August Huh

Hi Isawitall,
You signed up for Extra and the discounts are for 4 months off Value. In this case I'm happy to apply a discount of 2 months free for your Extra product, which is roughly the equivalent. Is that ok?
