Billing error

Gave notice to end my service as I was moving out but didnt need broadband transferred to new property.  I wasn't on a contract, just rolling on month to month.  Gave notice on 23rd July.  Service finished 6th August.  Apparantly on 2nd August another payment was authorised and on 10th august another monthly Direct Debit left my account.  I was expecting a refund not another Direct Debit! 

I have spoken to a couple of people at plusnet who tell me my money will be sorted once account has finished closing down - but how long will this be and why was a Direct Debit even allowed after I had already cancelled?

Final bills are created by Plusnet 21 days after cessation of transfer of services. So you bill should appear around the 27th 0f August.Any credit balance should be refunded. Do not cancel direct debit because that could be the way for Plusnet to refund any credit.
