I applied to join Plusnet on 26th December and its due to go live on 23 January for BB and phone - almost 1 month later!
I've already paid a month in advance for BB and calls and a year in advance for my line rental.
Can someone explain how this will get balance out?

Hi there,
We may have taken the money already, but the first month doesn't start running until the services go active - so you won't pay your second bill until a month after that
