Bill date

Hi
Been with Plusnet just over a week and everything fine but just wondered  about bill payment.  My first bill is due on the 8th March. Is this the date when payment will be taken from my bank by direct debit or will it be a few days after. Also is it up to me to check My Account or will a bill come through the post?

You will receive an email similar to this one which I received last month to the email address registered on your account
Note that my broadband end date is the 22nd so this came one day after that
