Bill Pending

Hello,
Could a member of the Plusnet team tell me why this month's bill has not been paid?  The bill was for 13th September 2014 and the money has still not been taken from my account.  On the member center it says
13/09/2014 Pending Scheduled Payments
Please advise
Many thanks

Re: Bill Pending

If this is a DD payment it's less than three full working days since the billing date - what date do previous bank statements show for the money actually being taken?
Also the money may have left the bank account but Plusnet's system might not yet have recorded receipt.

Re: Bill Pending

This will be the first bill since the start up payment, so the first DD to be taken.  I only started with Plusnet last month and have had no problems at all.  The money is still in my bank account so perhaps it will come out tonight at 12am?

Re: Bill Pending

Hi Wstewart1986,
It usually takes around three, but on occasion it can take up to five working days for a Direct Debit to leave your bank.
As we requested the payment on a Saturday, I'd imagine that it's still in the process of being taken.
If there's any problems taking payment, we will let you know free of consequence. But we are certainly not worried from our side as this is reasonably procedural.  Smiley

That's great thanks.  Will keep an eye and let you know if it goes through within the next couple of days.  Grin

The current (it's allegedly being replaced "sometime") PN system for DD's is notoriously fragile during the setup phase, though once "up and running" seems to work OK.
If you're not sure what's going on you may want to contact your bank (by phone) and ask them what they can see. Failed or pending requests will be visible to them but won't show in your account.
Also, if you have online banking, depending who it's with, you may be able to see yourself whether a DD has been set up and authorised. Though usually this is a single-stage process done with the first payment.

Re: Bill Pending

My bank says Plusnet have not applied for the DD.. At this stage that must be odd?  Bill was due out on 13th September.

Re: Bill Pending

Good morning,
I'm keeping a personal eye on your account to ensure it goes through.
I can't really attest for what your bank says, but I'd suggest that if it still hasn't gone out by Monday, I'll look into it and contact you.  Smiley
