On reflection your questions should have triggered the right alarm bells ... but I'm clearing 60+ update notifications (I do not actually work here!!
)
This is a non-BT infrastructure migration (VM) to BTOR infrastructure - two very distinct service connections and different routers. Therefore the usual rules do not apply. The new supplier connection being operative does not preclude the old one remaining operative ... which unfortunately was where my mind was - the swap should have stopped the old service and would have done if migrating from another BTOR user to Plusnet!
Outside of OTS a transfer between different networks requires orthogonal procedures.
Scratch that ... here and in the previous post. I have gotten myself confused between VM and Vodaphone - botv begin with "V" - its been a bad day!
The case is with the escalation team.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I haven't been around here long but I've already seen plenty of evidence of the good work you and other Superusers do in answering people's questions and helping them sort out their problems.
In this particular case, it does seem from @sdol123's last post that things may be going in the right direction at last.

This has now been resolved.
Vodafone support called me yesterday and said it was a 'technical glitch' which meant the broadband was cancelled but billing was not informed.
They have now cleared any debt on my account and he assured me that it will not affect my credit rating.
