I have a new contract, having recently switched from copper to FTTC.
I pay for line rental and broadband. No phone calls, no extras. I expected to be charged just over £18/month (but can't find any reference in my emails for a contract arranged over the phone).
So my bill makes for last month makes no sense at all:
1 Balance brought forward £25.98
1 Unlimited Broadband 03/03/21 02/04/21 -£11.15
1 Unlimited Broadband 03/03/21 08/03/21 £2.16
1 Unlimited Fibre 09/03/21 02/04/21 £13.09
1 Unlimited Fibre 03/04/21 02/05/21 £16.23
1 Discount 09/03/21 02/04/21 £8.99
1 Discount 09/03/21 02/04/21 -£10.10
1 Discount 03/04/21 02/05/21 -£12.53
1 Plusnet Protect (Included) 09/03/21 02/04/21 £0.00
1 Voicemail 03/04/21 02/05/21 £0.00
1 Line Only 03/04/21 02/05/21 £0.00
1 Line Rental 09/03/21 02/04/21 -£16.36
1 Line Rental 09/03/21 02/04/21 £16.36
1 Line Rental 03/04/21 02/05/21 £20.29
1 Discount 03/04/21 02/05/21 -£1.30
1 Caller Display 03/04/21 02/05/21 £0.00
1 Payment 10/03/21 10/03/21 -£25.98
Total £25.68
?!
Fixed! Go to the fix.

From that, it looks like your normal billing date is the 3rd of the month and that your product change to FTTC happened on the 9th March.
So bearing in mind that you normally pay for services a month in advance
You've been credited for the months normal broadband you already paid, then debited for the broadband you actually had until 09/03 and for FTTC from 09/03 to 02/04. Then you're now charged for a full months of FTTC from 03/04. The discounts for those periods are then applied / credited. Line rental from 09/03 to 02/04 has then been credited and debited (since its already been paid). Finally line rental has been charged in advance from 03/04 to 02/04 with (presumably) a £1.30 discount/month.
Looking at the full month ongoing charges, using 03/04 to 02/05 as the example , its looks like £16.23 - £12.53 + £20.29 - £1.30 which gives a total of £22.99 , that sounds about right for a discounted FTTC offer
Hope that helps

@pint You are confusing things again. The OP has switched from ADSL (copper line all the way from exchange to property) to FTTC (Fibre To The Cabinet), with the last leg, from cabinet to home, being copper - exactly as it says on the tin.
