BT Sport App billing error

This may seem trivial compared to some of the horror stories on the forum but I may be a bit old school and like to get things right and so should PlusNet where billing is concerned, I set up the BT sport app on the 10th August after pre-registering to get the £2.50 a month discount. My current bill shows a pro rata payment for the 10th to 28th August of £3.06 which is more than the normal monthly payment of £2.50 (£5 - £2.50 discount). I think it would be reasonable to expect a pro rata discount for this part month period but it must be beyond the capabilities of the billing system to work it out.Wink

Re: BT Sport App billing error

It is the same on my bill pro-rata payment of £4.52 with no pro-rata discount Angry

As we cannot raise tickets ref Billing errors and the phones lines are so busy at PN towers that chat is only available for limited hours, can PN please respond to this thread?

It could save PN (and those affected) many hours of effort on the phones or on chat.

Regards

Richard

Re: BT Sport App billing error

Mine was the same. Pro-Rata charge £2.83 (suppose to be less than that because of £2.50 a month discounts for 12 months when I was pre-registered BT Sports App a few months back) The ticket say I get £2.50 off for 6 months? Why? Suppose to be 12 months because I did sign up and pre-registered.

Re: BT Sport App billing error

I have just got a bill with two BT App charges. £4.99 pro rata charge and £5 less discount £2.50. What is the first one for as it seems I am being charged £7.50 instead of £2.50. Impossible to get thru to billing at PN

Re: BT Sport App billing error

I've had the exact same question, Viz a £4.99 pro rata charge and a £5 BT app charge with £2.50 discount. What is the first charge for as I seem to have paid £7.50 instead of £2.50.

Re: BT Sport App billing error

I had the same issue. I was billed £4.03 pro-rata charge plus £2.50. I used on-line chat and it seems that there are 2 ways to proceed.

1) the pro-rata bill stands and you then get 12 months at at the £2.50 rate.

2) you get a credit of £2.50 against the pro-rata rate and then 11 months at the £2.50 rate.

Re: BT Sport App billing error

The situation is explained here.

The partial, pro-rata month is charged at the RRP. You then receive 12 months service at the discounted rate of £2.50.
