Another sufferer of http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed issue

Hi there,

Count me in as another sufferer of the http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed issue. I called Support up today, and was advised to reset my broadband router to factory settings using the pinhole button, which I did. Things stabilised for a while, but I'm now hitting that problem again randomly (e.g. I cannot get to maps.google.co.uk right now because of this).

What can I do?

Many thanks,

Nick

Re: Another sufferer of http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed issue

Hi @NickHEgyptus, thanks for your post.

I'm sincerely sorry to hear of this issue.

I believe that this may be related to the failed payment IP, and so have just added (temporarily) a Static IP to the line to see if this rectifies things.

Can you please quickly turn the router off/on to force the IP change through? (I could kill the session but you may be in the middle of something!)

If the issue is resolved, I'll leave the Static IP active for a few weeks and then remove it to see if the issue returns.

If it isn't resolved please let me know and I'll switch it back over to a dynamic IP and then raise a task with our Network Operations Team.

Hi there - thanks for getting back to me.

I've disconnected and reconnected, and confirmed my IP address has changed. I'll let you know if I run into this problem again.

Many thanks,

Nick
