Another new signup who can't enable static IP

Hi there

 

as per some other posters, my FTTP was enabled a couple of weeks ago but I cannot configure static IP.

 

In "Add-ons", it says:

 

"Static IP" ... "Configure Static IP" ... with a button that states "Remove now".

 

When I click on configure static IP, I am told that "You are currently using a dynamic IP address", and clicking "Activate your Static IP" simply returns me to the same page (screenshots attached).

 

Is someone able to either confirm that it is set to static, or set it up for me please?

@skotl Have you paid  the one-off £5.00 fee for this service? I think you will find that you have request this manually, by posting a topic in 'Everything Else' and waiting for a staffer to pick it up.

thanks for the prompt response. Well, I presume so... It does say "£0.00" and "Remove now"... 

 

Definitely post in "Everything Else" rather than "Broadband"?

The option to order the static via the Members Centre has been borked for some time - the £0.00 cost is because you can't order it that way.

Yes - the request should be posted in the board I mentioned.

@skotl I have used my magic words and said please and it now seems to be working. Can you give your router a reboot please? If it is now working I will go back to reading up on more spells.

Hi Will

 

thanks very much for jumping on this so quickly! Yep - looks good now. I read the dashboard as suggesting it's set up and then there will be a £5 one-off fee (which must pay for your magic potions!), which is all fine.
