Additional Call charges but no phone plugged in?

Hello I have just received my 3rd bill, there are additional call charges that could not have been made as we do not even have a phone plugged in.

It isn't a huge amount but if this continues every month it soon mounts up, and makes my bill more expensive that my previous supplier!

Please advise

@twirlydoughnut

Welcome to the forum.  😊

A common cause of mystery call charges is a 'crossed line', whereby another customer's property is connected to your exchange equipment.

A useful first check would be to dial 17070 and check that the number announced is yours. Then call your phone from a mobile to see if it rings.

Thank you for your reply and suggestion. I don't have a handset to plug in. The only phone line coming into the house holds the WiFi router.
I haven't had this problem with any previous suppliers.

Beginning to regret switching already 😢

Without some initial diagnostics, it's difficult to say what's the best way forward. Can you borrow a phone from a friend/relative/neighbour for a few minutes?

If there is a cross in the network, it'll likely be in a street cabinet or the exchange.

It's Openreach who own and work on the network - this problem is no more or less likely with any supplier.
