Account Billing / Cancelled Service / End of Contract

I placed an order with EE broadband on 03-04-2020 and completion date with them 21-04-2020. 

My PLUSNET fibre broadband 12 months contract ended on the 19-04-20. Recently I have been billed by PLUSNET fibre broadband on 20-04-2020 for the out of contract monthly charge of £40.98 which will be taken out within a week period. This will be for the month I am not in contract and not using the service from 20-04-2020 to 19-05-2020. 

Can you help me with this recent charge on my account, soon to be debited? Thank you.

Thank you for getting in touch. I'm sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused you. As you moved to your new provider on 21st of April and the bill was produced on the 20th of April, you would billed for a standard month and our billing team would normally calculate a refund for the unused days and get this sent to you within 30 days of the account closure. However, to ensure that you are not waiting long for your refund, I've arranged this now and you should receive this within the next 5-10 working days.
