About Renewal Deals

Hi there,

My current contract will finish in December this year. I notice there are three renewal deals offered on my account. I am currently having Full Fibre 145. The cheapest renewal offer is Full Fibre 300 for £29.5 to start with.

I am happy with the Full Fibre 145 I am having and do not see the point of spending extra money for the speed that I do not need. I would like to know if anyone here can look into my case and give me a more suitable offer, before I start looking around for a new provider.

I hope this is the right place to raise this question. Many thanks.

Terry

@terryfat Personally, having had broadband services for 30+ years with only four providers, I would wait until the month before your contract ends, and then call the Customer Options team and see what they could do for you.  Three and a half months away is not a good time to be negotiating/finding alternatives.

Thank you John.

I will check with them later then.

Re: About Renewal Deals

FF145 is £25.99 on the website.  Best deals are to be found negotiating with COTS.

I wonder if this advice is correct. Back in June I was offered FF at £22.99pm, the best offer now, as my contract is coming to an end,  seems to be £24.99. Perhaps one should jump at a good offer when it is available? Perhaps these options are like share options and expire valueless (or at least, worth less!) as time goes on. After all, as you come to the end of your contract you do have fewer options.

Re: About Renewal Deals

@pvmb Depends, I suppose - I have never taken the renewal 'offer' - always called and asked them what the best negotiated price would be.

As a point of interest, I have recently knocked £11.00 off my next 18 month contract by calling my ISP and retained a 'feature' which is supposedly 'no longer offered'.
