AM fiber instal appointment today, now half 1 and still haven't heard anything

As the title says I am booked for an install for a fiber install today supposedly between 8am-1pm. Its now half one and I have been waiting since 8 and am now convinced no one is going to show up. I haven't had a phone call or anything to say they are running late or that they are about to stop the phone line. Landline has been up all day so no engineer is doing anything. Do the openreach engineers frequently turn up late? I was told they fail to turn up at all frequently and am now thinking that's whats happened. I can't phone plusnet cause last time I did I was on hold for over an hour.

3 o'clock now, getting more and more unlikely that some one will show up.

Hi reid1234,
I'm sorry that you've been advised that an engineer will be attending your premises this morning between 8am-1pm. I've just checked on our suppliers systems which shows that an engineer is scheduled to visit this afternoon between 1pm-6pm.
Is this the first time you would have had Fibre? Did you have ADSL beforehand?
