3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Over this last month I managed 3 successful referrals. I know that they were all successful because I managed them all myself and made sure that I was registered as the referrer in each case. I installed the modem/routers and went through the account and email setups.
All 3 were for option 2 broadband and one of them included anytime phone package.
So far nothing shows up on my account even though all 3 have paid their first month.
The referral bonus is confusing too. According to https://portal.plus.net/referrals/offer.shtml its still on so I should be due £60
Well is it continuing or not?
I dont know about others but I find the way the referral summary is presented leaves a lot to be desired.
I'm under the impression that each month I get less even when I added extra customers.
I also notice the referral amounts far less than they were a couple of years ago
If im only getting a measley 25p a customer which is a lot less than other providers give. I wonder if its worth the trouble.

Re: 3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Hi there.
I'm at home right now and cant access your account to check the details but I will do in the morning. The referrals should and normaly do, show up automatically once the first monthly payment has been processed.
If you signed up these referrals since 1 October on Option 2 you willl receive £20 per referral + £10 for the Homephone Anytime + package in addition to the monthly value. Between June 27 and Sept 30 slightly different values applied.
We do not pay out the bonus amount until the referred account has been active for 90 days but this will be done automatically at this time.
Not sure where you got the impression that you get less each month because that is absolutley not the case. The monthly value remains as it is for as long as your referral remains on that product. If they move to a product of a greater value your monthly referral payment increases accordingly.
The referral values have not reduced for the BBYW products and have remained the same for our legacy products. Some of the BBYW products pay a lesser value than the older and more expensive Premier products and that is purely down to cost and commercials.
As for " a lot less than other providers". If you find another provider which offers the referral bonus payments coupled with the monthly referral value for the life of the customer, I'd be very grateful if you could tell me who they are cause clearly I have not done my competitor analysis well enough Smiley
We actually have customers earning close to £2k per month via our referrals system and I personally have found it to be a very lucrative scheme in my previous role. Smiley
In closing I'd like to thank you for referring our products. It's people like you who have helped this company grow over the last 10 years and your efforts are greatly appreciated and I hope reqarded. If I can answer any queries or help in any way just shout and I'll do my level best.
As I said at the start of this post I'll check out your account in the morning and let you know what the state of play is.

Re: 3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Thanks for the quick response.
maybe I jumped the gun a bit, I was a bit confused because somewhere I read that the bonus scheme was ending end September and the site said differently.
If the bonus scheme continues I will surely go on recommending Plusnet.
I do home visit computer repairs and customers often ask me advice on ISP's so I am in a good position to benefit from the scheme.
I always recommend Plusnet, not only because of the profit but also from my 3 years of good experience of both Plusnet and Metronet.
I'd be interested if the resellers program gets underway. That sounds even better

Re: 3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Hi there Smiley
If you have a look here you'll be able to see our current referral offer (which superceded the £5/10/20/25 one).
To quote from the terms and conditions:
Quote
7. The offer will run from 1st October 2007 and will be reviewed on 30 December 2007. All referred ADSL sign ups will be eligible for this scheme.

We did announce that the Summer referrals promotion was ending in September however we replaced that offer with the current one on 1 October.
If you log into the member centre and view the "current referral" link you will see the list of referrals which you currently have, including the new ones. additionally as soon as you log into the member centre you will see a notice at the top of the page highlighting your current "monthly" referral payment.
We are currently working on a project to make the referrals information clearer and easier to follow but for now all is ok with your referrals and all values will be paid as normal.
If you have any queries dont hesitate to give me a shout.

Re: 3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Hi, I am new to this forum but am interested to read other people's posts on the subject of various types of non payment for referrals.  I have been a member of Plus Net since 2004, and have referred 11 new clients since.  Not a huge number, but not trivial either.  I am an IT consultant and specialise in supplying my clients with a laptop or pc, setting up the broadband account, their email etc to make it as easy as possible for them, as they are often quite senior in age and totally new to computing (one is 84, one is 87).    For quite a while we had no real visibility of the detail of our referrals.  In the last few months, more details have become visible which has made checking easier.  Once the details became visible and I checked out thoroughly, I discovered that two of my accounts had not been paid properly, in one case for nearly a year, in the other for more than two years.  Having raised a ticket, I was told that back payments could not be made for more than three months, and was referred to the T's and C's.  As we previously had no reliable means of checking what we should be getting, I am not very impressed with just being referred back to the T's and C's.  I would be interested to know how many other people have had this problem, or am I unique?  If I put the effort into getting Plus Net more revenue, I think your responsibility is to play fair and not hide behind a time window when we were unable to corroborate the exceedingly variable information given to us.  I look forward to hearing a response ............  MLB

Re: 3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Hi there,
The 90 day window is in place to avoid our bounty scheme being abused.  For example, someone could migrate in, get their referrer the bountand then migrate out again.  Do the same with a different username and so on and so on.
If you would like me to check any specifics surrounding your referrers I would be more than happy to do so, but I do feel that the information that we present is clear and does show you when your referrals were activated, so it should be relatively straightforward to ascertain when you are due a bounty payment.
Of course, if you have any queries surrounding referrals, or anything else for that matter, I should be more than happy to assist.

Re: 3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Hi James - good to hear from you.  You might like to check out James Elmslie, jandielmslie, and David Godfray, davidgodfray.  David Godfray's account was set up in 2005, yet I have only received about 4 payments for it.  The Elmslie account was setup manually by your guys on the phone to me (owing to a problem with your postcode database recognition system), yet payments were not made until very recently.  Would be very interested to hear your thoughts on these two.  Regards, Melissa Briggs (siliconsales).

Re: 3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Hi Melissa,
It certainly doesn't look right, so I've asked one of our developers who's a bit of a referrals specialist to look into this for me.
Would you mind PMing me your best contact telephone number and I'll be more than happy to give you a ring once we've got to the bottom of this for you.

It depends. If they chose the 90-day free trial when signing up then at least that long..

Yup.
You would be looking at the start of June for those bounty payments.

This was no free trial, paying the 14.99 pack. We are getting the reduced monthly payment (25p) but no £30 yet.

Re: 3 successful referrals but nothing shows on my account

Hi there bluetoff.
The bounty payment isnt payable until the referred account has been active for 90 days.
If your referral went active on 1 March then the regular monthly referral payment or discount will commence when they are first billed, but you wont get the bounty until late May / early June.
Further details can be found here Link
Quick edit - If you have DD details or Bank details on your account this will be processed automatically and transferred by BACS fairly swiftly. Otherwise we run a manual process and pay by cheque which can cause a bit of a delay.
