Hello people of plusnet world,
I have issue with the account usage being set with a key of:
1000mb = 1Gbyte
...surely the standard for 1Gb has always been:
1024mb = 1Gbyte
http://www.uswitch.com/broadband/guides/bits_and_bytes_explained/
http://www.uswitch.com/broadband/guides/what_is_download_allowance_/
...so if your on 60Gbyte monthly allowance that is:
61440
and not:
60000
...is this correct?

...over a year that would be losing out in 17280mb = 16.875Gbytes.
...over 1Gbyte of data a month.

http://en.wi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:GIBIBYTE#Quantities_of_bytes_and_bits
Quote Quantities of bytes and bits
In quantities of bits and bytes, the prefixes kilo (symbol k or K), mega (M), giga (G), etc. are ambiguous. They may be based on a decimal system (like the standard SI prefixes), meaning 103, 106, 109, etc., or they may be based on a binary system, meaning 210, 220, 230, etc. The binary meanings are more commonly used in relation to solid-state memory (such as RAM), while the decimal meanings are more common for data transmission rates, disk storage and in theoretical calculations in modern academic textbooks.

Yeah, we sell in Gigabytes, which are 1000 Megabytes, rather than Gibibytes, which are 1024 Mebibytes.
