I have just been looking at my call history and it shows me that i have sent a SMS message to this number 00447903553650 .
This i have not and was wondering is an app on my iphone calling home or some malware.

Thanks Gel
I did a Google search earlier and found the same results as you.
Just checked my account history and found a second SMS has been sent.
But when i look at my iphone there is record of the phone sending a text.
Its a good job that i have unlimited text and being charged.
It is strange how this is happening as i have Two Factor Authentication on my Apple and Google accounts.

Did you ever find out what caused this? I have recently got a sim from plusnet, put the sim in to make sure it activated and thats it. I looked at my account and there were 2 entries of a text messages being sent to that number. I have no idea how they were sent.

Is there anyone from Plusnet on here that could help us? Slightly scary that someone might have got hold of the number and sending messages through it

It appears to be linked to iMessage and/or FaceTime but only on the EE carrier service (strange but seems to be true).
Are you all on iPhones? If so turn off the settings in iMessage.

Hi all,
Any texts sent to that number is for the activation of iMessage and FaceTime and is only specific to iPhones. The number is for the Apple Server in the UK for the iMessage and FaceTime activation and won't appear in the text history on your handset.
Hope this helps!

This is not consistant! I have sent about a dozen Imessages today and only four have been shown on my bill. I have an inclusive 1,000 texts a month so it is not going to hit my pocket! Quite why EE have to do this whereas 3 Mobile and Vodafone don't is a mystery to me.

That is great that EE doesn't charge for iMessage activation via SMS to those phone number. Vodafone UK for example, charges £0.12 for imessage and facetime activation - everytime you change sim cards or clear network settings.
