Re: suddenly poor mobile signal at home

Hi @paulm1978,

Thanks for reaching out to us and I'm really sorry to hear that you've been having issues with the signal in your area lately. I've had a look into this and we can see that a mast was recently fixed in the local area, how have things been on your end so far this week?

Hi @Lindy26,

I'm very sorry to hear that this is the case. Just to clarify, do you have a Home Phone & Broadband account with us, or are you referring solely to Mobile signal issues in your area in this post?

I'm sorry to hear that you're looking to leave. Do you want to transfer the current number over to the new provider?

Re: suddenly poor mobile signal at home

Fortunately I only have my mobile phone with Plusnet. I called from my mother's again today & was told the masts (2 of them) are awaiting repair this could take up to a week, I think it's deplorable & will not be renewing my contract when it's up.

Re: suddenly poor mobile signal at home

I am very sorry to hear about this @Lindy26. When it comes to mast faults, there's very little that we can do to expedite a resolution, however it's important to note that these issues will affect multiple people in the area and our suppliers will always look to resolve problems as soon as possible. If the problem still seems to be present by the end of the week, please update the thread with further details and I'll be happy to investigate further.

Re: suddenly poor mobile signal at home

It's now Saturday and I still can't make calls or texts' my postcode is BS23. I can't believe that the masts can be down for this long and I really want to leave Plusnet & go back to 3 who never let me down, unfortunately I have only been with plusnet a few months & have been told if I want to leave I have to pay for the rest of my contract!! I'm so fed up I have no way of contacting my mother who is ill & who I call everyday & who does know how to use messenger.

Re: suddenly poor mobile signal at home

Hi SammyM,

Se10

The signal has been fine for 2+ years, so this is a recent issue. I have checked the online signal tester and it claims that inside and outside the home should be absolutely fine but it isn't.

The signal is either no bars or 1 bar in the majority of the house now.

Thanks

Alex

Hi @Leyval21,

I'm sorry to hear that this is the case. Have you had the chance to take the phone elsewhere and if so, is the signal the same no matter where you go or does it improve in other locations?

Well I’ve now moved to EE and it’s not much better but at least I get Wi-Fi calling now
