I Have a Nokia (bought a few years ago) and I would like to get it back to factory settings . I am using a Plusnet Mobile Sim (or trying to ) .Currently I can receive texts + send them ok .I can also Phone out + receive calls. I have never, since I had my Sim been able to to set up an E Mail connection which would hopefully enable me to to connect to E Bay for example. My thoughts are that if I can remove all the rubbish that was left on the phone by the previous owner there may then be a chance that I can use the E Mail service I have been paying for the last 8 months but have been unable to use. I suppose as a last resort I could scrap this phone which is in 1 st condition as it's main use is for emergencies. Your thoughts would be more than welcome.

Hi dl-77,
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
I'm sorry, but as we specialise in the network, I'd only be able to assist with any network issues, not handset specific. Having said this, I have performed a quick online search and found the following information:
Nokia 5230 hard reset. Restore the 5230 original factory settings. Restore original settings. Select Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone mgmt. > Factory settings.
Please note, that a hard reset will remove all data from the device and as this was taken from an online search, we're not liable if this doesn't work or causes any significant changes to the handset.
