cannot sent SMS donation to 5 digit number

Trying to donate to children in need via SMS but it fails to send. The message i am sending is TEAM to 70405. All other texts are sending OK. Any idea what the problem could be?

Plusnet do not support short codes in any way, shape or form. Nor do they have any plans to do so.

So you cannot send SMS messages to the likes of Children In Need's short code number TEAM. Nor the NHS, Banks etc. Indeed the only one supported is 999 text number.

You would have to ask Children In Need as it is their number.

Might just be better off in this case to donate to Children In Need from their website at the BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/childreninneed

EDIT

So basically Plusnet do not have other numbers to replace the short code. You need to ask whoever you are trying to text if they have a normal number.
