This is SO frustrating ...

The number of times my bank, PayPal etc want me to verify my spending via shortcode before they approve my latest, urgent, life saving transaction, only to be blocked by Plusnet's refusal to play ball is killing me 

What is their problem? ... As far as I know all other providers support this ...

I really can't believe their line that its to protect us feeble users from scams etc ...

I used to think it was a technical limitation but clearly this is not the case ...

PLEASE sort this or I will HAVE to move ....

Tried earlier today by sending INFO to 85075 from my Plusnet mobile.
No response 🤔
Can only assume Plusnet do not support the txt-to-switch service ?

Whilst we don't support short-codes generally, we were made aware that this service should have become available from yesterday (01/07) afternoon onward.

Please let us know if for any reason it isn't working for you today.

I understand this must be disappointing but it's not just the case of just turning it on. There are technical obstacles to overcome and we've done this for PAC requests and we are working on it for a couple of other codes like British Transport Police. 

It's unlikely we will provide support for all shortcodes in the short term.

Can PN confimed are these short code 85075 (Info) are free? Cos it popped up on screen warning to this is a charged text click cancel to send or click send to send.

Are 65075 (pac) 85075 (info) 75075 (stac) are free text to send?

Thank you for getting in touch. 

We have tested a Plusnet Mobile sim in the breakout area using code 85075 (Info) and this didn't come back with notification of being chargeable. 

The shortcodes you have provided are free. If you can please supply a screenshot of the chargeable text notification when using one of our shortcodes we're more than happy to investigate further.

I have had a very frustrating afternoon trying to get my PAC code 

1. tried using online chat, was told I can't.

2. rang customer services, part way through ID verification he told me about 65075

3. texted 65075, no response, received an 'android.com' error message, tried several times.

4. uninstalled truecaller app in case there's a clash, no difference.

5. googled it to check, mse forum thread confirmed it but quoted a different code, tried that, no response.

6. read the rest of the thread and found a correction to the number, tried again, no response.

7. mse thread also said you can get your PAC code from plusnet online, tried the website again but sent me round in circles.

8. by which time it's too late to call customer services again so found this thread.

9. very annoyed!!!!

10. why do plusnet claim such amazing customer service???

I used the new service to get a PAC for both mine and my wife's Mobile phone to transfer from Plusnet and it worked for both phones. In fact it was an instant return text with the details.
