Why does Plusnet mobile not show missed calls if someone rings and mobile has no reception?

Why does Plusnet mobile not show missed calls if someone rings and mobile has no reception?  People tell me they call me but my reception comes and goes, and no missed calls are shown.

@alan16 Just think about it, if the phone has no reception it doesn't receive a call so how can it display a missed call?

Voda for example will send a text message with missed calls whilst out of reception, probably what the OP means.

The big problem is PlusNet are not as   "cheap as chips"    any more there are now many companies who are beating them

I thought it was the norm to have a text message sent for missed calls if there is no coverage, Sky have been doing that for years, maybe I should have stayed with Sky?

It's strange as Plusnet uses EE network, EE sends missed call text alert, so why not Plusnet?

PlusNet uses EE's radio network for coverage, with some specific exceptions

That doesn't mean PN's services are the same as EE.
