Watch the pennies

Just had an email from Plusnet telling me that my mobile bill will be going up by the CPI for January 2023, as on the ONS website plus 3.9%.
The CPI was 10.1%. Therefore the price should go up by 14%.
My current bill is £6.55. An increase of 14% on this is £0.917. Plusnet are increasing my bill by £0.94. Ok, it's only 2p, but if this is happening to every customer, then it's a lot.
Also, their Ts and Cs are wrong insomuch as announcing that the increase is CPI plus 3.9%. What they mean is rate of CPI plus 3.9 percentage points. I'm being pedantic on that, I know.

Re: Watch the pennies

It is the CPI figure published in January i.e the Deceber figure of 10.5% making the increase 14.4%

Re: Watch the pennies

Thanks for clarifying that. Maybe the communication from Plusnet ought to be more specific and actually say that it's the December figure, published in January...
