On a recent trip to Poland, I noticed that forward when busy/unanswered to voicemail doesn't work but instead gives a "busy" signal or just disconnects. I thought it was strange. I was testing a call blocking app but it seems unrelated to the app since all it does is dropping the call, and it seems to work ok in the UK (ie. forwarding to voicemail). Is this something network specific? I also tested it without the app - I got someone to call me while I was in call, and they got a busy signal.

Hi @pkw
It could be as simple as the carrier which you connected to in Poland does not support this feature, however, anything network specific (basically anything which is set up via your carrier/account and not just on your handset) may not follow you when you connect to a foreign network.
Did it start working again when you got back?
Sorry I can't be more helpful on this.
Kind Regards,
MoR

Thanks @MasterOfReality .
I thought this was the case, since it did start working ok when I got back.
It would be good if voicemail did work while abroad but it's not a big deal. On the upside, when work called me when I was on holiday, they couldn't leave a message
