Voicemail access

I'm currently on holiday in Vietnam, how do I access voicemail messages?

I've tried international code for UK, +44 555, unable to access my voice messages

When abroad the standard 555 won't work. You'll need to dial the long version so it will be +447870020555.

Thank you, I've called  +44 7870020555, initially, in Vietnamese, however translated to English, "The number dialled in not recognised"

Thanks for coming back to us - that's odd as that's definitely the correct number.

Does this issue occur if you try your SIM card in another handset?

Thanks for the PM - everything looks fine from this side.

Just taking a look around the forum and this thread here seems to suggest that the voicemail facility may not work in some countries as it's dependent on the network of that country supporting the access point to that feature.

Are there any alternative networks that you can select manually to see if these recognise the number?

Thanks for your response, it would appear the carrier function doesn't work in Vietnam, this is the 1st time I've experienced this issue, never had an issue accessing voice messages worldwide when I was with o2 / Giffgaff

Clearly Plusnet doesn't offer the service I require, therefore, I'll be changing provider when I return back to the UK

Clearly, my issue is not fixed, however, I've marked "as fixed" due to Plusnet not being able to offer a solution

Thanks for getting back to us @RunningBi2day, I am sorry to hear you will be leaving us, I can fully understand your reasoning as to why.

At the moment there is an ongoing issue that has affected a small number of customers which is preventing them from accessing their mailbox.

In all honestly we do have an agreement with that country and therefore you should be able to access these. If you are not able to access voicemail from your Plusnet SIM card or trusted number then unfortunately you will be affected by this issue.

We are working to resolve this, however we don't have a time frame I am afraid and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
