Using mobile in India

Hi I'm heading to India tomorrow for a month.  I know it'll be super expensive to use phone there - I'm wondering whether it's at all possible to buy a pre-paid package or something so that I'll be able to use it?  Otherwise I guess I'll have to just switch off data and stick to wifi when I can find it..

Thanks

I'm afraid we don't offer any pre-paid packages or bolt-ons for international use. Apologies.

@lowege

Get yourself an Indian SIM card when you get there. I can recommend Airtel - they have a very good deal for tourists which includes free calls within India and up to 1GB of data per day. I think it will cost in the region of £15-20 for up to 49 days. You’ll need to take a passport photo and your passport for them to take a copy - will all be up and running in an hour or two.
