Unlocking iphone

I am a Plusnet fibre broadband customer. I needed a new mobile phone and not being a big phone user, was attracted to the Plusnet mobile sim offer at £5 per month. I bought an iphone SE from Carphone Warehouse and put in my Plusnet sim. Soon discovered that, despite having made various checks, i could not get a mobile signal at home. WiFi calling would have been the answer but apparently Plusnet do not support this function. Decided to cancel Plusnet and move to O2 because i know i can get a signal at home. Explained all this to PlusNet, they apologised and gave me a PAC code. I asked if they could unlock my phone from Plusnet and was told they don`t do unlocking. Try Apple they said. I tried Apple and they said they could not do it, speak to Plusnet! So i spoke to Plusnet again and they confirmed that they could not unlock the phone from their network.
This seems ludicrous to me. Does anyone have an answer please?

Re: Unlocking iphone

Have a read of this, the phone is probably locked to EE.

Re: Unlocking iphone

That link explains the issues very well. I have a iPhone from EE, and can confirm the process described in the article worked for me.
