Sim service provider unlock code

My daughter gave me a Moto G3 phone as she has bought a new one. When I put my Plusnet sim in it asked for a Sim service provider unlock code. I'm sure I've heard of this before and wonder if I had to enter one on my WileyFox Swift.

I'm hoping it's a Plusnet thing and someone will know what the code is.

Does the SIM still work in the orinigal phone?

Sounds like the handset is locked to the original provider, in which case they'll have to give you the handset unlock code.

If so, you'll have to contact them and it is nothing to with PlusNet.

@Hargreaves As @Alex said, sounds like the Moto G is locked to the previous provider.

WileyFox phones are all unlocked and so you will not have had to enter any code on the Swift
