Signal strength

Recently I am only seeing 1 bar on my signal strength at home. I have checked the EE coverage and it says 4G excellent and 3G very good both indoors and outdoors. I know it's just a guide, but I think I used to have a better signal. Interestingly, turning on and off airplane mode on my phone gives a much better signal briefly but then it drops to 1 bar again. I'm curious why that is. It doesn't bother me too much but I think may affect phone's battery life.

Thanks for leaving your post! I'm sorry to hear of your signal issue, we do suggest that you use the coverage checker available on the Plusnet website for an estimated coverage. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee signal indoors, due to external factors such as building material, tree cover and other local physical conditions.
