I use a Pay Monthly plan
According to your details it is EE
I know phones differ some but is it normal to find two phones on the same network with the difference explained below
Friends phone (iPhone, not sure which one but not a recent one) on EE (not via plusnet) Full mobile signal and 4G much of the time
My phone (Motorola Action One) on EE via Plusnet. Zero signal
Any ideas?

Plusnet don't have access to one of the 4g bands, the 800 mhz Band 20. So if the other 4g bands are weak in your area that could explain why someone on EE gets a better signal
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
