Shortcode British transport police

I was on the train down and around London about a week ago and noticed posters saying "any suspicious activity message British transport police on xxxxx" where xxxxx is a shortcode. Now I know that plusnet does not allow you to use shortcode. Does this also apply to something so important such as this? If so it needs sorting. It's not like you are trying to enter a competition for a free holiday to the Costa del sol is it?!
