Short codes issue

I had occasion to need to use a short (5 digit) code today, in reply to a legitimate message from a legitimate source. I find this most annoying and just want to raise this issue again. I know many would appreciated it being made available.

I found out from a different post today that it’s not available.

I often donate to charities via short codes and Soccer Aid is coming up next month.

Short codes are very convenient.
