Roaming In Angola

Impossible to connect to any network in Angola. Which network Plusnet has agreement with?

I have tried all the tricks mentioned in other posts..... no  results

  • You can also try re-booting your handset, you can do this by the following:

  • Turn the handset off
  • Take the SIM card out
  • Leave it for a couple of minutes
  • Replace the SIM card
  • Turn the handset back on

Not possible to contact Plusnet by messaging..... the result is that I can't use my internet banking..... all that to say that's very annoying...

Re: Roaming In Angola

Hi @Gerard1, thanks for getting in touch with us!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble roaming in Angola.

I can confirm that the network we have an agreement with is 'Unitel S.A.R.L.'

I'd recommend connecting to that network manually and then restarting the phone again.

If you are still unable to connect, there may be a local mast issue which we unfortunately have no control over.

Thank you

-Oli

Re: Roaming In Angola

Tks for your answer.

So how do you explain that my other UK number with Giffgaff/EE is connecting without any problem on the network (UNITEL) on the same dual sim phone!!!

It's unfortunate that I rely on Plusnet for the roaming

Hi @Gerard1!

Have you tried swapping your SIMs into the other slots?

Thank you

Re: Roaming In Angola

Dear,

Yes, I switched the SIM, tried another phone, selected UNITEL manually, restarted the phones... the result is the same. Plusnet is not accepted and EE yes....

I think you should contact your local partner to look at the issue or clearly announce to your customers that roaming is not available in this particular country so they could anticipate.

Tks
