Roam Like at Home? What about receiving calls?

I will be going to France soon and I know I can use my data and minutes as if I'm still in UK but I was wondering what if my family calls me? is it going to be deducted from the minutes on their plan like I never left or be charged extra like international call? I can't seems to find this info nowhere.

Re: Roam Like at Home? What about receiving calls?

Fix
There has never been extra charges for calling a uk mobile whilst it's abroad (it's either out of their plan or usual rates) - the person who received the call was charged.
For roam like home there is no charge to make or receive calls, so it is just like being in the UK.

Well before I always removed my SIM and used a local, looks like I was doing the right thing or I would have been the one charged for receiving calls lol but all that has changed now thx for the info.

Re: Roam Like at Home? What about receiving calls?

Interesting question.

I read somewhere, that the person calling the mobile doesn't get charged, as after all they don't know if you're the UK or not. So it is unfair on them.

The person receiving the call, would pay.

Has that been abolished now with Roam Like at Home?

Just curious really.
