Receiving picture messages

So my mother in law has just signed up to plusnet and she is struggling to send or receive picture messages. Her phone is an old nokia asha 300. Just spoke to a CSA and she pointed me to the part of the website on setting up your phone, problem is is that it does not cover nokia phones and especially her phone. Anything that can be done so she can receive picture messages please.

Re: Receiving picture messages

I presume that you know that MMS messages are chargeable? Has she managed to send any at all? Does she still have some smart cap available?

Edit: I'd recommend the Whatsapp application anyway over MMS.

Viber is another option but, of course, it does rely on the other person having either app installed on their phone.
