Re: Voicemail problems

Despite several calls to PlusNet mobile who keep telling me the voicemail account is active I still do not have voicemail. I am regretting the move from O2 with whom I was for several years, with no problems - and voicemail! was never an issue.

Re: Voicemail problems

Hi cliff2,

Thanks for getting in touch with us!

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your Voicemail service and I'd like to help with this!

We have 4 different codes that may help however, I can't advise as to which will work as they're all handset dependant. Can you try each one by dialling it into your keypad and calling that number?

The codes are as follows:

  • **004*+447870020555*11*30#
  • **004*07870020555*11*30#
  • **61*+447870020555*11*30#
  • **61*07870020555*11*30#

Once you tried this, test your Voicemail service by calling 500 or the long Voicemail number which is: 07870020555.

If the issue persists, feel free to send me a private message with your account details and I'll certainly take a further look into this for you!

Re: Voicemail problems

Thanks Rebeka.  Afraid that did not fix the problem.  I use a Nokia 301, very simple.  The number is [Removed].

Hopefully you van solve it, is back to O2 for me.

Regards

Cliff

Re: Voicemail problems

Hi cliff2!

Thanks for getting in touch with us!

I'm sorry to hear that this hasn't resolved the issue for you however, there is one more code that you could try. Could you please dial the following code into your handsets keypad and tap call:

#21#

Once you tried this code, you'll need to re-boot your handset. You can do this by:

  • Turning the handset off
  • Taking the SIM card out
  • Leaving it for a couple of minutes
  • Replacing the SIM card
  • Turning the handset back on

Following this, if the issue is still present, be sure to send me a private message with your details and I'll look into this further for you.

Re: Voicemail problems

Hi Rebeka.  Many thanks.  The 4 digit code worked, without having to re boot etc. Thank you.

A further question.  How can I reduce the length of ringing before voice mail cuts in.  Is this with Plusnet, as I cannot see a function on the handset for this?

Re: Voicemail problems

Hi cliff2!

That's great news!

Now that your Voicemail Service is up and running, you can try one of the following codes to amend the ring time.

  • **004*+447870020555*11*30#
  • **004*07870020555*11*30#
  • **61*+447870020555*11*30#
  • **61*07870020555*11*30

The '30' in bold, indicates how many seconds the phone will ring before it reaches your Voicemail Service. You can amend this by changing '30' to any amount of seconds you prefer, in 5 second increments up to 30 seconds maximum.
