RPI Price increase from 31 March

Got an email  from Plusnet today and I quote : "On your first bill from 31st March, the price you pay for your current £6.00 plan will increase by £0.86 a month. This is in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation published by the Office for National Statistics in January 2023 plus 3.9%."

Well the increase of £0.86 is actually 14.33%. The latest CPI in the UK is January : 10.1%

A bit of accuracy and TRANSPARENCY would help!!!!

Re: RPI Price increase from 31 March

Hi there

The figure you have been given are correct, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation published by the Office for National Statistics in January 2023 (always for the month before)  are for December 2022 which is 10.5% , hope that helps
