Potential December shopping woes

Looking at the Beeb today, it seems banks will be using mobiles a lot more to identify customers in the run up to chrimbo. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-46399707 . From what I have seen of the complaints on here about a lack of short code ability, there could be tears ahead Embarrassed .

Re: Potential December shopping woes

Early days yet (too early to say whether the process will involve the requirement to use short codes.)

Re: Potential December shopping woes

I doubt it will, as it will just be a case of receiving one text and entering a one-time code onto a website. I can only see it becoming an issue if you needed to send something back through SMS. Then that might not be shortcodes.

At my old company their VPN system worked like this, you'd get a text sent through to your phone with a one time code you just needed to enter to login.
