Poor value renewal deals compared to new customers

I noticed the deals I'm offered when I was emailed to update my plan are not only much worse value than ones new customers can get (I notice a 22gb for £10), but also tie you in for 12 months rather than being a rolling 30 day agreement.

Looked to call to see if they could offer me anything better but noticed it said they're very busy due to covid and only to call if it's critical etc. And frankly I'd rather do it all online anyway!

Is it worth doing a live chat to see if they can offer me anything?

@mrmitch85

Live chat is not available at present.

The trick is to forget new customer deals but go onto a price comparison site and find a cheap deal from a mainstream supplier for the same speed. Then ring the customer options team on 0800 013 2632. Select the I’m Thinking of Leaving option. You will find that this is answered quite quickly. There quote the competitors price and ask for it to be matched. If after haggling this is refused then you have two options.

Hi,

The best thing is to call 500 from your PlusNet mobile then press 1 then 3 for   "  I'm thinking of leaving "  you will get answered very quickly then ask if you can have the 22GB U/L U/L 30 day deal

Other posters have done that and received the  deal    Good luck
